Hi girls! :)

I’m getting back into crocheting. What are your most favorite yarn brands? I have a Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, and local craft store for options. Please share your favorite brands and why you love it so much! :) Thank you!!!

I try to buy the yarn from the specific yarn company online. I do not go to Walmart, Michaels or Hobbi Lobbi. I like to support the primary businesses.

Depends on the type you are looking for. I get my cotton yarn from Walmart. My favorite for other projects is I Love This YRn from Hobby Lobby. It nice a d soft. Holds up very well.

Always count your stitches and keep your tension the same throughout. And when you are working in rows flip your work in the same direction each time.

Thank you girls!! I appreciate your suggestions! :) I ordered some sugar and cream yarn from Amazon.

If anyone has suggestions on how to ensure that the left and right sides of a project stay straight, please feel free to share!! :)

I agree with Krista and Marie! I have always used Red Heart brand. My Granddaughter has also used another brand and seems to like it. I will ask her what it is and get back to the group.

Happy knitting and crocheting!

Lion Brand makes the best wool. Sugar and Cream is my favorite cotton. Red Heart is very reliable.

Honestly, my favorite is Red Heart. It holds up great and is decently priced. I also love the thickness level of Red Heart. I know there are probably some better brands out there, but Red Heart works for my needs and budget. I like sugar 'n cream for cotton yarn, but I don't use cotton yarn very often.
