I started a ten stitch blanket a l o n g time ago using up my pastel leftover yarn. I finally mastered the pattern after a few rounds...I mean squares...but now I can't get the hang of it again. Does anyone else loose the "rhythm" of whatever you are working on? So frustrating!

Yes, it happened to me last week. I wanted to work on my UFO Christmas Stocking and I just keep messing g it up not remembering what happened. Maria reached out to me to tell me I had forgotten to knit in the round. Once she told me that and I reread to pattern it just clicked. I have done 25 rows since and all is good. Soon I will be starting on the heel, we will see how that goes. I will keep you posted.

Lynn, I have had that happen to me before. It's especially frustrating when it's a larger project. I hope you can remember what the steps were and it will come back quickly. What you have so far is very pretty.

I know that I do especially when I haven't looked.

I looked up the pattern and am intrigued. I love doing projects with leftover/scrap yarn. I would love to start this with my smallest bits and move along to the larger and larger ones. I would end it with an amazing knit or crochet edge.

My advice: Read the pattern as many times as necessary to understand it with the project close by. Match the pattern with the project. If necessary, produce a sample based on this exercise to flex the muscle memory. That should do it!

Good luck and put a picture in What Are You Working On.
