I found a free quilt pattern on Facebook of a sunflower - made completely with squares. This would be a pretty easy quilt to make. I am going to try to work this in between other projects. I thought there might be others who would also like to make this quilt.

The mask pattern also on this page looks handy the way it attaches to your glasses.
Another new pattern quilt-along called Hearts of Hope from Bonnie Hunter starts today 3-18 and goes every Friday for 4 weeks. Her Facebook page and blog has the 1st installment - getting fabrics ready. Check it out! I'm definitely doing this one.

Thank you Linda for the pattern. I think I will make it into a "Mini" and use it for a banner, then I can put it on my front door.
Also the Sunflower is my state's flower, so it can be used for double-duty.

Judith, we'll be wrapping your son in love and prayers.
We live down the road from the Air Force Base, and they just deployed 450 troops and about 125 planes of all sorts.
It's been very active around here.

Thanks, Denise. I thought it would be a good project and a nice looking quilt. Size of the quilt could depend on the size of the squares used - from 34" x 50" with 2-1/2" cut squares to 51"x 75" with 3-1/2" cut squares or larger.
