I am not having much luck finding embroidery patterns locally. Does anyone have a website to suggest? I see some of the tea towels you gals make that are so cute and I just wish I knew where to get the patterns.

Thanks for any help you can give.

I have just started to use Mac-A-Doodles patterns. I finished her Merry Christmas one and just love it. There is a website for Deb's patterns and things at http://macadoodles.net/. Please read her story about how she used stitching to help her to deal with the grief of losing her son.

Try (www.yesterdayscharm.com/)

She carries great vintage embroidery patterns.

It's not about being perfect, but enjoying what you do. Set aside time to be creative.

I, too, collect Aunt Martha's. I got so many I found I that had to make a list of what I already had or I would buy them again..."forgetting I had that one!"
I keep a notebook in my purse to make notes of things, lists of collections and to sketch things to make as I think of them. It is a neat little notebook, vintage, that zips up, so it holds my Pentel pencil in it and so is always there. No need to dig through my large leather purse trying to find something to write with. BTW...I do not like carrying a large purse...but I take my camera with me almost everytime I leave the house, so I need a large bag to fit it into.
This notebook also keeps my list of cookie cutters and other things I collect. It sure is handy. I recommend it to anyone.
Anyways...back on topic...I buy my Aunt Martha's at Walmart, yard sales, or whereever I see them. They are very reasonable.
Grandma also left quite a few behind when she went to be with Jesus...these are my favories to use...cause I want to be just like her! Sweet, Godly woman.

Ashley, your patterns are in the mail.. Watch for them....although it took 2 1/2 weeks for package (box) to get to Florida, I hope you get yours sooner....

My favorite patterns are Aunt Martha. I like "days of the week" patterns and they always have a lot to choose from. Some are so corny, you just have to stitch them up! They're inexpensive enough to buy a lot of different patterns.

Wall-Mart has the Aunt Marthra ones.
I get them too at JoAnn's and Michales.
I collect those Aunt Marthra ones.
I have quite a collection.

My decease grandmother( my Mom's Mom) taught my cousin and I to hand embroidery when we were about 7 on teatowels.
What memories they bring back.
I still love to do it. pinkroses

I second the suggestion for Sublime Stitching. Affordable and it's not the run-of-the-mill stuff you usually find.

I have bought lots from ebay. There's one seller that deals only in Aunt Martha's embroidery patterns and tools....
http://stores.ebay.com/Aunt-Martha-Transfers-from-Pauli_W0QQssPageNameZstrkQ3amefsQ3amesstQQtZkm

I think the price is reasonable, and what I've gotten from this seller is good quality.

Good luck!
