I think I have photobucket figgured out, so I am going to atleast atempt to share!

I made this skirt this morning. It was my oldest daughters favorite jumper, but is now way to short.

I made this purse for my sil out of an old woolen sweater my mama pulled out of a give away box. The sweater had a few small holes in it, but the felting process filled them in. The cell phone pocket was made from the cuff.

This is the "Princess Mary" costume I made for my youngest. I made one similar for the older daughter, but as I finished it on the way to the faire, I do not have a special modeling photo.

Ok, lets see if these show up! Trina

My models were very flattered by all the attention you ladies gave them. Thanks.

I did some research and figured it out. Thanks Trina for the inspiration and instructions. If there are any other ladies out there that would like to make their own wool purse and don't have any idea what they are doing (Like ME), I found this project page helpful http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/cr_accessories_purses/article/0,1789,HGTV_3227_4224963,00.html

I love the pictures. I so enjoy seeing what is being posted by all the talented ladies here. The felted purse is so cute!! I also like seeing clothes changed/repurposed to make new items. The costume is lovely. I see how much she likes it.

Trina, I know this is going to sound dumb, but how do I felt in the washer?

Tammy, the purse is so easy to make! Buy an old woolen sweater at a thrift store and felt it in the washer. Then cut across just beneath the sleeves, where you cut will be the bottom of the purse. Stitch the bottom shut from the inside. Cut any pockets you want from the remaining pieces of fabric like I did (this is not lined so I did not add any interior pockets), then cut a strip from the sleeve to use for a handle. Stitch the long sides of the handle together and then stitch securely to opposite sides of the bad, just inside the opening. That's it, you have a cute purse!

All fantastic creations! My favorite is the lil renaissance dress. Love that time period.

Very nice! Your daughters look so adorable in their outfits. The purse is very cute! (The key to keeping craft sweaters for their intended purpose is to immediately stuff them in the washer when you get home,or waiting until Spring! :)

Thanks to everybody! I am glad you like! Nancy, the thing about these felted purses is they take almost nothing...just a washing machine. The only thing I stitched was the handle and pocket. The problem is, I keep buying sweaters to make into purses and somebody around here claims them. I guess there is just something about a good wool sweater!
