I picked up the book in a local craft store and it's been a great one. It's got information more for the beginning embroiderer but it's got over 100 reusable, I've gotten about 4 uses out of the ones I've used so far, iron-on patterns. Also check out the site for other patterns and info.

Posted - Feb 25 2007 : 4:53:10 PM I have been doing hand embroidery a lot lately too. A lot of tea towels for the most part. I can do one in two evenings of sitting and watching tv. I got a ton of fun patterns from Aunt Martha's last week and they are also iron-on. To add a little color, I use crayons to tint them before I sew. That is so much fun and they look great. Sorta like coloring back in the old days.
I also have a fabulous embroidery machine that I love, but I do like something soothing to work with while I watch tv.

Posted - Feb 23 2007 : 6:55:19 PM Liz, I have just started doing hand stitching. I have an embroidery machine and it is much faster and better but..... there is just something about sitting down in a cozy chair for an hour and making something with your hands. This site looks great. Thanks for sharing. Lindy
