I think some time ago I may have seen a group of my fellow farmgirls swapping quilt squares...? I have been sitting on the sidelines here, just watching everyone...well, this last week or so I have decided to jump in. I would like to see if anyone else is interested in swapping quilt squares...maybe just 6" squares, you chose the design, simple or not, we all don't have enough going on, right? There is always time for a new project. If you are interested let me know. We can figure it all out as we go along. should be fun...jess

I think we are all done here, glad everyone had fun, enjoy your squares!!!

katmom, nice job putting the blocks together. it reminds me of life, never a straight path, but colorful and always something to look at while traveling to get from point A to point B.

Crazy~9 quilt square swap.....
I sewed the sq.'s together, but have not put a backing on it yet. It's posted on my blog.
I think I may make it as a table cover for my 1974 Scamp trailer that I use for "Sisters on the Fly" fishing trips.
I was going turn it into an apron, but just did not want to cut off any part of the squares.
Ladies, again, Thank you all & Jess.

Ok, so after getting home from a work related event (last night) I sat down @ my trusty sewing machine & sewed all the Crazy 9's plus a bunch more that I had made. Now I just need to find the perfect backing for my 'Tea Table' cover. Wow, is it ever fun & whimzical looking! I luv it!
Thanx to all of you wonderful ladies.

What a great day Wednesday was,,,,,even though I had to go into work, (late night, long hours),,,the wonderful part was receiving in the mail,my crazy 9 quilt squares & my MJF's stitching book.
First thing this morning with coffee in hand I went to my sewing table & "re-visited" with the lovely squares that you all made. I am thinking of making a table runner or Bistro table cover with them. or????? gosh way to much fun!!!!
Thanx again ladies & Thank You Jess for putting this all together.
Now if I were really adventureous,,,,I would sew this on my grammy's old treadle machine....
tata-4-now, gotta go play!

I have to learn the whole blog thing, too. Oh, I am so looking forward to these blocks. Let's agree to at least post a photo of completed top and/or quilt at this place when we can.

When you figure out the blog thing, let me know how you did it. I really need to find some kidlesss time to set these things up. I could post pics of my completed works all day long and my friends would probably rather that then repeated emails with pics attached. I love squares that are random and not overly planned. Cannot wait to see what you make. Jess
khartquilt Posted - May 04 2007 : 05:34:26 AM
I can't wait to see what I get. I have a number of crazy quilt squares that I am going to group with these. It will be a real funky looking quilt top. I will have to get my daughter to hook me up with a "blog" or something so I can share my projects.
Cant wait..
