Posted a new one on my blog. This is in the mail in the morning for a farmgirl. I wish you could see the colors up close. It makes me think of a box of Valentine chocolates!

Have a great night,
G

Thanks for checking out my apron and sewing musings!

Just posted a new half apron on my blog. It is made with butterfly fabric. This one is for larger gals, so it droops a wee bit on my skinny sewing model! It was inspired by seeing MJ's lovely rick rack apron.

Oh, I am i nthe cookies swap, and I would much rather an apron. Every time she uses it, she will think of you. Once the cookies are gone, only memories (and calories) remain. Oh, well, lucky farmgirl!!

What a pretty apron! I really like the contrasting colours of bias binding and apron fabric. Yum

Thank you all for looking at my apron and I'm so glad you liked it! To answer some questions. That brown is store bought bias tape...Mocha. I do make my own though. I love doing that. Found a bias tape maker in a mark down bin at Hancock fabrics a year ago and I love it! So, so easy to do with the tape maker and an iron. I also like to cut the bias strips with my roller cutter and mat. MUCH easier!! The Love of Chocolate Apron is going to my Valentine Cookie swap partner in lieu of cookies. We were supposed to bake a dozen or two of cookies. Well I signed up thinking that my broken oven would be fixed by then, but when the repairman came, he had to order a part and it won't be fixed until Feb 19th. !!!!! ARGH. Well, I just couldn't leave my partner hanging, so I baked up that little confection instead! Tell me, would you farmgirls be happy with an apron instead of fresh baked cookies? I sure hope so, cause I feel like a real dodo bird! (sheepish grin) Sears said it would be done last week and so here I still sit and wait. I've been without my oven for over a month now...and this is under full warantee! YIKES....It would have been a $500 repair without the warranty, well, that is more than it cost new 1 1/2 years ago. Oh, and I am sending her some other little goodies with the apron. I hope she is not displeased with the little box of goodies in place of the cookies. My fingers are crossed.

Georgann that apron is beautiful. You are very talented in sewing. I hope you are feeling better. I was gonna reply to your blog but I'm not a member so I couldn't. A lil chocolate always makes a girl feel better though. ;)

Blessings....

Great job, Aunt George! Do you purchase the bias trim or make your own?
