Posted - Feb 04 2007 : 08:32:02 AM Tasha ~ that one panel is just the way the fabric is printed. But I saved my scraps from this project to make one that's completely patchwork, I think that'll be fun ~ I just loved your very warm looking skirt! That may be my next venture ~ to see if I can get more of that shape ~ so pretty.

Grace and Zoe alwasy insist on wearing other silly things too, don't worry about it .....I think it is cute that hse has boots on...
IS the ptchwork just the fabric, or did you actually do patchwork for the skirt?

Posted - Feb 04 2007 : 05:04:35 AM No Aunt George ~ I didn't make the hat, I wish! I got that at a consignment shop quite a while ago and she loves it ~ it was definately worth the 50 cents I paid for it.
Haha Sunshine, I never noticed the boots on the wrong feet! She takes them off and puts them on all day long.
Sandy, that was a cute story about your son!
Thanks ladies :)

Posted - Feb 04 2007 : 03:18:46 AM Love the skirt, that it is a panel one made from all different fabrics. Your little one is cute!! So glad you got inspired and made it happen. it is just so cool to see all the ladies inspiring others to try their hand at sewing or crafting.

Posted - Feb 03 2007 : 5:47:18 PM Way back when my son was just a year or two older than your little one, he ran outside in the summer to go play next door. I said he needed to put some shoes on, and out came the moon boots. Suddenly they were his favorite shoes -- in August! Within a few days, all the kids living around our neighborhood were wearing them! And we wonder how trends get started!
Cute little girl in a cute little skirt!
I'm heading south for the winter. Some parts of my body already have a head start! |
