Posted - May 10 2017 : 10:59:26 PM I have been enjoying making these lil quilted photo frames,,, they have magnet strips inserted in/on the back side so they can be refridg magnetic frames... a photo is held in place by the 4 little triangles...
I started making them last summer and continue to do so... They are fairly quick and easy to make when I need a last minute gift...
I made this one with bits of scrap fabric..
this is the back side,,, once assembled, I make a slit and slid the magnet strip inside,,, then I use fabric glue and glue it close. The pattern calls for 2 pieces of magnetic strips,,, I prefer to use 4, one for each side... Hmmm, I think I might make another one,, goodness knows I have tons of fabric scraps..

Posted - May 11 2017 : 09:03:11 AM I love these frames, Kat. The one you made me is on my refrigerator now. LOL!
I found the pattern at a quilt show "thrift" shop for 10 cents, so I hope to start making some of these and selling them at the little shop where I have some of my things. I've been selling microwave bowl potholders, crayon roll-ups, and aprons so far. She's only open Thurs-Sunday and only charges 20% - no monthly charge. I haven't sold a LOT yet, but some each month, so that is good. Useing up my stash and making some spending money. LOL!
