Posted - Mar 23 2017 : 11:52:25 AM Ok, so I snuck into my sewing room to keep busy while I waited on hubby to get ready so we can dash out to lunch and the P.O.,, thought I would clean up my sewing table,,, but,,, got into sewing mischief instead,,, now hubby is waiting for me to get ready! lol! I re-designed an apron pattern that I saw and added my own spin to it...
   simple pattern and simple assembly...
cut 2 pc 2x6x3 sides cut 1 pc 3x6x3 front hem all sides except the top/waist. I folded in 2 pleats on the center pc. using a 18+/- x2" pc for waist/tie fold it like bias tape or use dbl folded bias tape and stitch onto the top/waist of the apron. You can leave the hem plain or add a lace/ruffle or ric rac tape... or fancy machine stitch.. Sew easy peasy to make.

Posted - Mar 28 2017 : 06:41:12 AM I'm liking the pleats rather than gathering... might try that on my patriotic aprons.... Thanks Grace :)

Posted - Mar 23 2017 : 11:54:32 AM oh and I just used pinking shears to cut the pieces, normally I use my serger on the raw edges... but it still turned out cute.. Also, I used 1/4"stitches...all around the apron. I haven't added a pocket yet, nor any deco embellishments,,, as hubby is waiting,, so I will do so later today... tata-4-now
