So,,, when I was down in Palm Springs a couple of weeks ago I spotted this cute denim purse for $1.99,,, bought it...but...
I have 2 grand~girlies and I needed 2,,,sooo I also purchased a pair of girl's jeans and used some scrap fabric to make the 2nd purse...
Now both are in the mail to Spokane for 2 very special little girls.
The black/pink one is the one I made and the blue/pink one is the one I bought.
all I had to do was cut the legs off, stitch the jean bottom closed, make and attach the lining and make a tie/belt,,, and add a few deco button,,, the cute flower embroidery was already on the jeans.
I happen to have the bamboo handles in my treasure trove of misc., sewing stuff and,,, I had the cute lady bug button which was perfect because I call my one grand ~girlie, 'ladybug'...
Gotta luv easy peasy projects!

Bonnie... I just couldn't resist... so I found another 'jean' in the the kid clothing section of the Thrift.... for $1
I bought them and the best part, the butt pockets had bling!
Sew now to find the perfect fabric for the lining ... but what to do for the handle/ shoulder strap?!?! .... tomorrow I head into town... I think I will peruse a few thrifts and see if I can find a cheap handbag to "borrow " the handles off of for my jean tote/purse...

In fact next time I am out at the Thrifts...not only eill I search for cute jeans to make a few more purses but I think I will check out the handbags that I might be able to remove the handles to put on to my jeans purse... probably a lot cheaper then buying them at the fabric/craft stores!
Or may be a cute belt which can be re-purpised into a handle or shoulder strap.

thanx Krista,,, because of the belt loops,,, I ended up hand stitching the lining into place,,, I have "Holy" fingers.... cuz of all the little hole/pokes from the needle! lolol!
