Posted - Mar 17 2017 : 07:55:39 AM We were hit with over 12" of snow in my area of Northeastern New York. It was so beautiful! I do not mind that Mother Nature forces me to slow down and enjoy her beauty! I made sure to top off my bird feeders and fresh water for the bird bath .... It was beautiful to see all the various birds (some not common to my feeder) stop by to energy for the stormy night!

Posted - Mar 15 2017 : 06:58:36 AM Weather like that is common here in Minnesota and no one comes here to report on it. When I was in college, we had such a bad snow storm that the University was closed. I had to walk over a mile to get home in the wind and snow. There were no cars on the streets and the only other person I saw was a cross country skier. Then there was the blizzard in 1991 on Halloween Day and another a month later. I don't know, the Northeast seems to get all the attention when it comes to bad winter weather. We seem to take it in stride here. Still, it is a scary time for everyone.

Posted - Mar 14 2017 : 10:00:07 AM We are due to be hit. So far nothing. It is rather cloudy and close. From the looks of it, probably within the hour. I had made plans to do nothing but work on my crafts. Great weather for that. Keep safe for those of you going through it now.
Hugs Becky

Posted - Mar 14 2017 : 09:54:34 AM We are, Christine! I'm in Rhode Island and the weather is absolutely terrible. Snow, rain, crazy winds and freezing cold. Needless to say I will not be going anywhere today. I just need to keep in mind that yes, spring is right around the corner.
hugs, Marcy

Posted - Mar 14 2017 : 08:03:58 AM Oh Shannon...it's so bad out there. It's a nice day for soup and sewing and/or knitting.
Thank you! Please pray everyone stays safe. My family is home, but I worry about anyone who has to travel on these roads. The first responders, etc.
