I haven't been doing this scrapbooking thing for to long, but it seems to me I go through a ba-zillion glue stixs. Do you all use those or should I be using some other kind of glue. I bought a pack of 18 stix the other day and thought this will last me longer then me, but I think they are going to go before I do.

For photos I use the clear photo corners. Then you can remove the picture from your book if you need to and just slide it right back in. I've used those for brochures also or post cards. It saves trying to pry something off a page.

I used both when I was scrapbooking (had to give it up cause it was too expensive). If you are using the textured papers like the Bazil Papaer the tape stuff usually works better. Also I stored my glue sticks in the freezer when I wasn't using them. This kept the glue from getting really gummy when I used it and it seemed to make the sticks last a little longer.

I use the glue sticks (UHU brand) but find that after a while they glue loses it stickiness, even on finished pages. I've tried using gel matte medium, but that's too wet and buckles the paper. The sticky dots and double sided tape works the best, but is more costly than glue sticks.

I'm heading south for the winter. Some parts of my body already have a head start!

Hi Nancy Jo,
I use the little sticker. They come in a box of 250 for about 1.00 So much easier to use.

I've been trying the double-sided tape in a dispenser. You don't need a lot and it works pretty well. It's acid free as well.

I am a photo sticker mount girl, myself. I also use the little "dots" that coat the back of anything, acid-free, without being permanently fused. That's my two cents...

Nancy- I use a combination of the acid free glue sticks (paper items)
and the acid free photo mount stickers for pictures. They are strong
but do come off the back of the pictures if needed w/o any of the residue glue sticks leave. It works for me , but someone else might have a better idea!

I use the sticker type glue...seems to last pretty long for me and I have a one year old that I'm constantly scrapping pictures of. If you continue to use the glue sticks make sure they are acid free as you don't want to harm your pictures or any other paper products you are using.
