Posted - Jan 18 2007 : 02:56:24 AM I am not a knitter (yet?) but I do so admire the art! And I love the fingerless gloves. I came across these pictures and patterns this AM and thought someone might be interested. Enjoy! http://www.purlbee.com/

Posted - Jan 18 2007 : 07:11:52 AM What an adorable site! Thanks for sharing!
I'm currently knitting up some of these fingerless mitts for my best friend in San Francisco:

They are really fast and super cute. My mom tried one on the other day and lamented how her hands are always cold while typing at work...hint, hint. I guess I should make her a pair next, since she did help me out a ton while Jack was sick!!

Posted - Jan 18 2007 : 06:53:13 AM Cute site! I need to make some of these for my dad. His hands are always cold. These gloves would be perfect in a lightweight wool. Gee, another trip to the yarn shop. So sad...:)

Posted - Jan 18 2007 : 04:51:06 AM I just bought a pair of rowan felted tweed to try the knucks pattern that are on that link. They will be a gift for my sister. Maybe I should make a pair for myself that say farm girl on the knuckles! Anyway, I hope they come out ok, I've never tried anything like it before! Thanks for posting bonnie. -megan |
