Posted - Jun 07 2016 : 6:16:14 PM Hi, Ruthie! Quiltee's tutorial should be spot on..I first heard of the toothbrush rugs in a needlework magazine. I ordered Aunt Philly's toothbrush needle. Then a few years ago I was asked to teach a couple of classes for 4-H. One was for beginning embroidery and the other for easy rugs. I found the old fashioned toothbrushes with the hole in the end at Dollar Tree. I purchased enough for a couple dozen needles. DH sawed the ends off for me and we filed the ends down together. What a fun project. I plan to show my daughter as she has expressed an interest in making them for her house. Have a great time making them!
