I just found this great pattern and knitalong on the Web and thought I would share with y'all:

http://irishhikingknitalong.blogspot.com/

I haven't officially joined the knitalong yet, but I did start the scarf. Mine's slightly modified since I'm using Lamb's Pride Bulky and don't want it to be so wide. I *would* be super excited about it since it's knitting up quite nicely so far, but...(are you sick of hearing me talk about this yet?)...IT'S NOT COLD ENOUGH TO WARRANT A SCARF IN MINNESOTA THIS WINTER! Grr.

I will keep knitting anyway. And you should too! It's a great beginning cable project.

Happy casting on!

Catherine

I love that pattern. My knitting isn't ready for that yet but I'm working at it.

Thanks-it looks really neat. I may try it after I finish the baby blanket I'm working on!
