Posted - Nov 21 2015 : 11:00:34 PM Up here in the mountain community where I currently live, we have several groups that do things to help our less fortunate or are in a crisis situation.. one of them, is 'Covers of Love'.. where we knit, crochet or quilt blankets/afghans as well as Beanie caps... Here are my two most recently quilted children's quilts... They are given out to homeless/shelter families, shut-in's, elderly folks in care facilities etc.
this one is flannel...
this one is cotton... I love making them and I love knowing they will go to someone in need... I just started a simple double crochet afghan... that I should have done by next week... If we get the cold Winter that is predicted for up here... I will be keeping busy this Winter quilting and crocheting...

Posted - Nov 22 2015 : 8:08:51 PM I use a 6.5 quilt templet... so they are (nearly) perfect each one. 'OPTIMA' 6. 1/2" grid... and my roller cutter thingie...
on the pink one I had to piece together bits of fabric to make a 6.5 sq as I was nearly out of fabric... lol! >^..^< Happiness is being a katmom and Glamping Diva!
