Posted - Dec 04 2006 : 6:19:27 PM I just received a big box of Granny Squares crocheted by my Great-Grama with the instructions to "do something with them!" I'm so excited because this is family heirloom stuff, but need some new ideas for what to make. I can certainly make the usual afghans or pillows, but has anyone come across anything new and funky to do with Granny Squares? Photo on my blog!

Posted - Dec 04 2006 : 8:28:29 PM Catherine I have seen some very cool jackets made from Granny squares. I think Clare posted a site last year with very pricey stuff but if you crochet, not a problem! I have a sweater that is done all in cream but it is basically all granny squares. Tote bags, wine totes, hairbands,notebook/scapbook covers, the sky's the limit! Have fun!
