I am seriously getting into decoupage/collage art and was wondering if anyone had tried home made Mod Podge and does it hold up as well as store bought name brand Mod Podge? Yikes it can get expensive and besides it smells funny----

Also, does anyone have a really good recipe for home made Mod Podge?

Thanks------

Tacky glue is a thick glue made by Aleene's. It comes in a gold bottle.

I have used 1 part tacky glue to 3 parts water, stir until well blended. Use as you would for mod podge. It has held up great outdoors when I used it with glitter. Stayed on throughout the summer rains. I have not tried it for just a cover coat outdoors, but have indoors with no problem.
