Hi gals, I'm in the process of making all in one diapers for my little guy and wanted to share the pattern for those mommas who may not have seen it. It's Kwik Sew K3690 and is from XS to XL.

I did the calculations and I've made a dozen "all in one" diapers for roughly the cost of one box of pampers (well here in Canada those boxes retail for about $36.00). I think I've spent about $40.00 on the PUL fabric (rubber backed), white diaper cloth, elastic and velcro. So it's pretty economical and if you have basic sewing skills they're pretty easy to create. Much cheaper than buying the ready made all in ones.

Good for you! I have no need to make diapers, but will share the info.

My kiddos are adults now and when they were born, disposables were just on the market. However, I used cloth anyway. My son couldn't tolerate the disposables. At the time there weren't a lot of choices and they really irritated his skin.

Great information, AnneMarie! I sent it to my BFF's daughter who just had a baby. She and her husband are both ecological engineers and extremely dedicated to all things reusable, recyclable and repurposed. We gave her lots of cloth diapers at her shower, but nothing like this pattern. Thanks so much for sharing!

Happy Day!

Though I sew, I never made a diaper. We used cloth, but I just never got to it!! Good for you!
