Posted - Feb 20 2018 : 7:56:00 PM Love the hexies, Grace. I hadn't seen any like those and may have to use some of my vintage linens to make some. A little larger they would make nice "doilies" for my tables.

Posted - Feb 20 2018 : 7:42:38 PM Beautiful Hexi's Grace! Hand sewing isn't my favorite so I don't think I'll be making hexi's! I follow Bonnie Hunter's blog, she loves hexi's and has a beautiful quilt in progress!

Posted - May 21 2015 : 2:42:51 PM Would be very sweet pieced as a quilt! I did something similar many years ago using lace doilies appliqued on a square that was neutral in color--ended up giving it to my little sister.

Posted - May 20 2015 : 08:02:27 AM I am guessing these could be made one of two ways... stitch a bit of remnant lace onto a hexi,(top pc) then cut a 2nd hexi leaving maybe a 1/3 or 1/2 " edge,(the bottom side), then fold over the edge and zig zag stitch it down... or cut 2 hexi's the same size, stitch on the lace, and use bias tape and zig zag stitch on.
I think I would prefer to hand stitch the binding on so you wouldn't see the stitching... ok, I think this just might have to be my Thursday night project.... Wish me luck....
