Those of us who love farms and farm things and are quilters will be glad to learn of a new book by Lori Holt called "farm Girl Vintage". Barns, tractors, chickens, sheep, strawberries, all things wonderful in patchwork. It is available from the Fat Quarter shop in Texas. Just love it!

Of course if you keep up with Lori, she has two new patterns to download for a fee, an adorable pig and apples. Just perfect for fall.

If you get MaryJanesFarm magazine, in this month's issue Farm Girl Vintage and Lori Holt are featured with an article. You can see many of her quilt blocks on pages 70-71.

I have the book, but haven't had time to make any of the blocks yet. It's hard to choose which one to get. LOL! I love the chicken and sheep blocks.

I just got my copy and I love all the designs. I already have 3 quilting and 1 knitting project going so could I handle another. I like the idea of making small projects that can get done easily. Now which one.

I've made her Canning Season pattern which features rows of canning jars. It came with my book, Farm Girl Vintage. It's just too adorable. I'm now making the quilt on the cover.

That's wonderful, MaryJane. Can't wait to see the feature story. She has several other quilt patterns and books and I've followed her blog for a while. This book is amazing - all the block patterns and quilts. I love it!

A friend of mine has made quite a few of the blocks and says it is addictive. She can't stop making them. Comments on FB say the same thing.

Alicia - you need to take up quilting. I love it - it is very relaxing to me.

Lori Holt has some super cute designs. I have her first book too. I am starting to do her quilt along she is doing on insta-gram and I think maybe her blog too. I amUsing her canning jar block for a few potholders, and might do a few with the chick block.

The book caught my eye a month ago and I preordered it. We're forming a small group to work on the so many cute projects in the book. Love it!
