Posted - Jan 05 2015 : 5:59:41 PM With all the UFO's that I have stashed in my sewing room,, did I work on any of them today... Noooo! In stead I started another little project to keep me busy while I waited for some return phone calls... I saw the little 'Luggage Tags' in a 2007 Issue of Quilting magazine and decided to make a couple.
I tried to get a good photo, but alas, my photo skills are not very good.
Easy peasy to make, they could also be used as Gift Tags...

Posted - Jan 07 2015 : 7:02:38 PM I am a novice when it comes to my embroidery machines,,, but it has been fun and I am 'slowly' getting use to buying, downloading and uploading stitchery pattern from the internet to my computer and then to my machine... The patterns are cheap enough it's the threads that cost a bloody fortune! and I swear, no 2 pattern designs use the same color! I will have to win the Lottery to be able to afford 1 spool of every color embroidery machine thread there is on the planet!

Posted - Jan 06 2015 : 2:58:56 PM Grace I really like your luggage tags. I want to borrow your idea, but use it in a totally different way. I have fermenting peppers in the panty that I have to keep an eye on. If I make a tag, than pin a date to it, and hang it on the door, than I will be reminded to check on the peppers. It will look a lot better than a piece of paper scotch taped to the door.
I always have something brewing in the kitchen that needs checking on so I will need to make up several of the tags. Thanks for the idea.
I wonder if I could use merit badges in the design. Works for me.
