Posted - Oct 25 2014 : 03:06:16 AM Hi y'all! I have I a dilemma! I keep finding these super cute patters on ravelry I want to try but I can't figure out what yarn to use. They call for DMC crochet thread size 3 (I think some say Petra and some list another name). From what I can tell this is common in the UK. I have access to a tiny selection of yarn at our on base craft store and then I can order from Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Joann's or Amazon so I'm trying to figure out either where to get this type of yarn that I can get it shipped or what I can use as an alternative? Any ideas??
Thanks :)
Sabrina

Posted - Oct 25 2014 : 08:39:53 AM I did finally find it from Joanns now just debating if I want to spend the money, the pattern I have doesn't say how much I need of each color either :/

Posted - Oct 25 2014 : 06:54:10 AM I spoke with a couple friends and they said an alternative would be sport weight cotton yarn. Joann's does sell what you are looking for though (type in crochet size 3).
