Posted - Nov 06 2006 : 09:03:38 AM The birthday quilt I made for my oldest daughter came back from being quilted on Friday. Oh my gosh!!! I sent it to Gloria (our berries) to quilt. She did the most beautiful job!! I would totally recomend her to anyone who wants help turning a quilt into an heirloom..she just does fantastic work!!! As soon as I get the edges bound I will post a picture or two of it..Summer is just over the moon with it...more than thrilled. What a talent Gloria has!!!

Posted - Nov 09 2006 : 8:59:17 PM Wow! Thank you girls, but I really couldn't do it without Jenny and (Summer). Thank goodness I finally get to do something I truly love!
The pictures are really pretty the way the light hits it. If I knew how to operate my new digital camera, and get the pictures on a computer, I would post some things. But help is never around (only my sons could help), and I'm still learning the computer! :>)
So until then, thanks Jenny for the posting!

Posted - Nov 08 2006 : 8:28:53 PM It is absolutely beautiful - has Summer seen it yet? You should take a photo of her expression when she sees it for the first time! I'm making a 1930s quilt for my daughter - very similar fabrics. Gorgeous, gorgeous - thanks for showing us! Best wishes, Jayne |

Posted - Nov 08 2006 : 05:04:14 AM I would be happy to send you some informtion jpbluesky! Email me privately! This is what I do for a living. Quilt for others, piece for others, design quilts for others. I just love it! Can't wait for you all to see Summer's quilt. It's the quilt - not the quilting.

Posted - Nov 08 2006 : 04:42:20 AM Can't wait to see the quilt. Gosh, I never thought of sending my quilts out for quilting. My finger gets quite a callous on it from pushing that needle through....berries, do you have a price list for that?
Aunt Jenny, I absolutely love your quilting frame. It looks so sturdy and pretty. The one I used to have was pretty rickety. :)

Posted - Nov 07 2006 : 9:28:40 PM Jenny, Just looked on your blog and I LOVE the autumn quilt that was on your new frame - I love autumn colours. How is it going? Would love to see a photo when it is finished! The frame looks good too. Could you tell me where you got it - do they have a website? Is it working out well? We are coming into summer here, so all my cold weather crafts are going away for a while, unless we have a few more cold spells! Happy quilting, knitting, and anything else! Jayne |
