Posted - Jan 07 2014 : 12:49:44 PM Inspired by one of my knitting students, I made a felted knitted vintage-inspired hat. I knitted it in the round and finished it on double-pointed needles (while watching Downton Abbey on DVD ). It is made of worsted wool and mohair. One of my students made one first with my help, and it came out so cute, I just had to have one, too. Made a black one and added a little "bling" to it. Warm but doesn't muss my hair. Thought I'd show my farmsisters. It was very fun to make. Took two cycles to felt but felted up nicely.

Posted - Jan 08 2014 : 5:03:24 PM Oh my goodness...I am blushing...you all are so sweet. It was not a really difficult pattern to do, the hardest part was toward the end when I switched to DPNs. My dd took that picture. I was smiling at her and she snapped it.
