I want to try quilting so badly, but am so intimidated ?

It's so fun Judith! You should take the plunge. I always thought fussy cutting was that incredible complicated cutting out of flowers and other highly detailed images. It was a revelation when I realized it could be a straight block, but intentionally framing a particular element of the print. I really enjoy doing it now.
