Posted - Jul 08 2013 : 08:14:43 AM So I've been collecting aprons for years. (It's a byproduct of the farmgirl lifestyle.) Now I have a huge pile of aprons (at least 12) and don't know what to do with them. I live in a two story townhouse in an apartment complex and my kitchen is one of those awful galley-style pass-through kitchens just large enough to hold a stove, fridge, sink, and about one set of dishes. I love all these old aprons and just don't know how to be creative with them. I love repurposing and saving old stuff, though. Also, my dining room is the absolute focal point of my house. It's filled with antique radios and other vintage things like dishes, baskets, a 1950s train case, and small quilts/table runners/yo-yo covers made by me.
So, any ideas on what to do with all my aprons?
(Here's a view of my dining room just to give you a feel for my style.)

Or you might sew them or glue them together to make a table cloth or wall hanging. Be sure to post pictures when you finish this project. We all want to see.

Posted - Jul 08 2013 : 09:20:54 AM I definitely don't plan on using them. I have aprons I use, and then I have these, which are half-aprons, which I don't ever really wear. So yeah, I am willing to cut them up if need be!

Posted - Jul 08 2013 : 08:31:46 AM If they are the half aprons they can look super cute as cafe curtains, or valance curtains. But if you want to continue to use them though, that might not be best!
