Great finds! I have the one on the right (the black with the red and gold paint). It came in a tiger maple wood case. My husband got it for me for Christmas one year. The paint on mine is lovely--it's almost like it was never used (much like my own modern machine )

So glad you rescued them! Beautiful aren't they?

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce,
Or a trouble is what you make it!
And it isn't the fact that you're hurt that counts,
But only--how did you take it?

I would have taken them home with me too. They would look great displayed in a sewing room. Awesome find!!

Those are absolutely amazing! I guess when things were built to last, people made sure the items were attractive. Do they work?

That is an amazing find!
The black Singer's painting is in such wonderful condition, usually the paint is one of the first things to look really worn so they were wonderfully cared for machines,I wonder what the story is on these machines.
Sadly, some people just do not value old things and so when people pass away or otherwise these old things fall into other hands they are often tossed or given away,I'm so glad you found them and that they didn't end up junked,it was certainly meant to be!

Very nice! I would have take them home too!! What a great find. I can't imagine why someone would throw something so nice away. I would love to know who they belonged to and what they sewed.
