Can anyone give me a recommendation of good wool yarn (worsted weight thickness preferred) for crocheting shawls? Not too pricy, but good quality? Online or in stores is okay. Thanks.

Bernat is pretty inexpensive. You can get really good prices here: http://store.knitting-warehouse.com/yarn-bernat.html

Also, it's nice to support your local yarn shop to see what they have on sale. At this time of year, a lot of shops are getting rid of winter-stock worsted weight wools for 50% or more off.

Red heart also has a wool blend that is not to bad ... and another good place is Etsy, some of the shops have sales and want to get the older stuff gone ... you can search it on Etsy and enter a start amount and and end amount ... like$1.00 - $10.00 that way it weeds everything elase out. You can also search Etsy by just adding the words "wool yarn sale"

Thank you Teri. I don't need it right away, but have an idea in mind.
