This tool was taped to something else that I bought at a yard sale and I don't know what it's for :) It's just light plastic and one of the circle ends is flat and the other one has a little valley (if that makes sense) Is it for something in particular? It's not a cutting edge at all -- unless you were going to cut play-doh :) Thanks for your info in advance!! :)

This is funny. I have a screen that needs to be replaced. I replaced this same screen about 20 years ago and bought the tool to do it then. I was trying to describe what the tool looks like to my hubby as he has been doing some cleaning and organizing in the garage. Now I can just show him this picture.

the flat end helps push the screen in and the valley end puts the piece of cording back in over the screen edge.

OR....
now that I think of it, the wallpaper tools had a cutting edge. It might be used in recaning chairs. You roll it to push the round finishing trim into the groove, finishing with the flat edged roller. |

It looks like a roller for replacing a piece of screen in a window or a door.

I think that it is for hanging wallpaper. After the paper is on, you roll one of the edges horizontally along the point where the paper meets the ceiling or floor. It makes it fit snugly into the corner so that you can make a clean cut with a knife. |
