I went to Joann's yesterday to look at sewing machines. I am in love with this machine. Although, since I am not an advanced sewer, and probably don't need something like this, it would be nice to have. But for $2,000. and $3200. kinda out of my price range right now. And forever. But while the lady was showing me how the more expensive machine worked and all it did, she had the less expensive machine doing some embroidery.

That is SO pretty. She let me have this and I think I'll make a pillow. I love it. It is the most amazing machine I have ever seen. I really want one, just to have it and do some of these designs.

Anyway, it's a lot to think about. Does anyone have one? What do you do with yours? I'd love to see some things you've made on it.

I have a Husqvarna Viking machine for "normal" sewing and I love it! I can't do those high priced things either, even though it might be nice and fun!!

That design is gorgeous!

oh Kris,
I hear ya! I went to a class sponsored by H.V. and Joanns...
they were trying to sell us on the $7.000.00 machines... umm, NO!
I have a Bernina Deco machine that has some stitches and I also have several read/stitchery cards... I use mine mostly for monograming things.
My neighbor up the road has a Brother embroidery machine,,, which I got to play with,,, and, as it turns out, they both use the same reader/stitch cards... so we can swap.
Her Brother machine was right at $400.00 and ya know,,, that I can see doing in the interim... as I learn... and if I end up not using it all that much, I am not out a great deal of $$$...but don't get me wrong, if the Sewing Machine Stork were to drop one off on my doorsteps,,, I would be giddy with joy! lol!
