I would love to see how people save/display the merit badges they've earned. I only have four so far and they're all waiting for me to do SOMETHING. I've seen a few on jackets and a few on tote bags. Do you embroider all those little details? Use fabric paint? Has anyone made theirs into a quilt? Please share your creativity. Thanks!

CJ, what kind of material did you use for your patches. They look really, really nice!

My intent is to do a mini-quilt, similar to what Bea has done, but I've not gotten very far with it. I guess I'm too busy trying to earn the badges . . . and then of course, there is "GLAMPING"! :D

I don't want to sew them onto something like a garment or totebag because I don't want to risk the stitching getting caught on something and/or wearing out!

I sew on buttons to denote each level earned. Just decided that is what I wanted to do.

wow, I'm not that creative. I used fabric pens for the fine details of my patches. Then I just sew them onto a tote bag and each time I earn a new level I embroider the ring around the outside. That has worked so far but I can see that I will run out of room soon.

Wow! Bea, your quilt is amazing. I absolutely LOVE it!!!! Putting badges into a crazy quilt is appealing and VERY clever.

Tami.
This is how i display my badges. I did a crazy quilt block swap with a few other sisters. I made my blocks into a wall hanging with a wide border. As I earn badges I sew them to the border.

To everything their is a season....
