Posted - Mar 12 2013 : 4:32:44 PM I agree Kathy; the designers should think about their customers how much they charge for the patterns; we all should e=mail them.

Posted - Mar 12 2013 : 4:14:03 PM I too think it's a pain to have to do this after the cost of some of the patterns but it seems to be a trend with some companies to do their patterns non-transferable. I have used the pens that was out after stitching but I can't always get a clean enough line with them so it depends on the patterns. Kathy |

Posted - Mar 12 2013 : 4:07:21 PM I use a make up sharpener, and don't actually try to sharpen the "lead" but just get rid of the access wood around the "lead".

Posted - Mar 12 2013 : 4:05:22 PM I use a light box for transferring embroidery patterns all the time and really like it. I just use the tracing pen that washes out after embroidery is done. For me, this works like a charm. Like Kathy says, lay down the pattern, then the fabric and trace. Hope you find something that works well for you! CJ

Posted - Mar 12 2013 : 11:36:16 AM I like to get a iron on pencil and just trace on to tissue paper and that way I can iron it a few times.

Posted - Mar 12 2013 : 09:13:41 AM I use a light box all the time. Put the pattern on the light box and the fabric over it and trace onto the fabric with a pencil. I sometimes will tape the fabric to the light box so it doesn't move but other than that it's simple. You can use something other then a pencil but that's what works best for me. Kathy |
