Posted - Feb 17 2013 : 7:50:17 PM I saw that there is a bead show in Franklin Tennessee this weekend! I am a little north of there (just 2 states), but I'm goin!
I have never been to a bead show. I have never been to Franklin Tennessee.
I was wonderin if anyone here had been to this bead show or any other one?
I could really use any advice on how to make the most of the show.
I could also use any advice on good places to eat near there. I love findin little mom-&-pop type places to eat.
Thanks for your advice and input!

Posted - Feb 20 2013 : 10:08:04 AM Hi There Angela! I live fairly close to Franklin! Its a great fun town to visit! I have never been to a bead show though. However some great places to eat are Merridee's Bread Basket in downtown Franklin famously known for their pastries! They have been featured in Southern Living among others. They also serve delicious breakfast and lunch. In Nashville, is the Pancake Pantry and is definitely worth the ~35 minute drive up there. Get there early (before 7:30 if you dont want to wait in a long line however, the long line does move quickly and is worth the wait. Nashville of course has a lot of live country music. Pucketts either in downtown Franklin or in the community of Leipers Fork (very close to Franklin) has live music on Friday and Saturday nights usually. The Bluebird Cafe (on the Nashville TV show) is a VERY fun place to hear song writers. I highly recommend. Check their website for reservations or get there approximately 1 hour early to get a seat. Its a lot of fun. Opryland is another fun place to visit or stay east of Nashville. Its beautiful "green house" with orchids, ferns, lots of greenery - its beautiful. Delicious restaurants. Papa Boudreaux's either in downtown Franklin or Santa Fe (for a great atmosphere go to Santa Fe!!) is a fabulous cajun restaurant.
Hope this helps! If you decide to go email me and maybe we can meet for lunch or something.

Posted - Feb 20 2013 : 09:36:59 AM I would go just to go to Franklin. I LOVE that little town. You should go. I do make earrings and other things with beads, but not into it that much. I would love to go back to Franklin. If I went there though, I'd have to go on up to Noblesville and see the grand kids. Have fun if you do go.

Posted - Feb 20 2013 : 08:54:20 AM Angela, I do beading and make some basic jewelry. But I'm way far away from Tennessee and can't go to it. Don't know anything about it so I'm not much help. But, I know you'll have fun and probably get lots of ideas! Enjoy it! CJ
