Does anyone here do any freeform beading?
I love to make bracelets.

Take care, Melissa.

I could not get a good picture of the beaded edges on garments, but here is one of my favorite necklace patterns of which I've made several versions. It is a right angle weave base of big beads (#6, I think) and then the loops are made of #10. I really like the "beaded ball" used as a stopper, for lack of a better description, in the clasp portion of the necklace. The lady who designed it suggested using two of the beaded balls to allow the wearer a choice of necklace lengths, which is smart.

Hi Melissa,

Pardon my lack of familiarity, but what do you mean by "free form" beading? I do some beading, but don't know the lingo too well.

I got the bead bug many years ago and worked part time "under the table" sort of for a bead store - the owner paid me in store credit. Can you imagine how dangerous that was? I have a bead store annex in my craft room, but have gotten away from it in the past few years. I think it is time to revisit my stash.

One of my favorite things to do with beads is to add what looks like beaded crochet to sweater sleeves, the necklines of tops, etc. I've done this mostly on summer clothes, which I have not dug out yet, but as soon as I do, I'll upload a photo.

Hey Melissa!
I love to play with beads. I am having fun with bead embroidery and wedding accessories. But what a mess I make! My cats are always finding beads in their water bowl!
