Hi everyone, I know it is just after Christmas and we are all busy with new stuff we got for the holiday. I have a mission trip coming up in March so I thought I would ask way ahead of time. My church is helping support a small church in Nicaragua and would like to teach the women how to sew. There have been some sewing machines donated which will be sold on eBay and the cash spend on treddel sewing machines in country since electric is sparce thru the country. What we need is the small things. Bobbins, thread, seam rippers (oh course)and whatever fabric we can get a hold of. Please drop me a note if you have anything available that you can send. Thank you all so much ahead of time for all your help.

God bless,

Judy

Heather, I believe the church has a connection in Nicaraga to get the treddles so we do not have to ship them from here. What we will be bringing is notions fabrics, some easy patterns )downloaded and made from cardboard), and some instructional sewing books for when the group leaves.

Theresa, any fabric will be great, the heavier stuff will go on the more durable needed items probably kids shorts and such, any light weight can be made into anything.

Thank you all for your help,

God bless,

Judy

What kind of fabric do you prefer? Quilting cottons, dressmaker fabrics, home dec fabrics? I need to de-stash in preparation for a move in late spring.

Ask also on your local Craig's List, and Freecycle as well.

Where are you buying the treadles?
