My sister found some old silk skeins that her boyfriends dad had brought home from WWII. There are 3 or 4. Just wondering if anyone knows if you can use them for something?

Michele, can you post a picture of these old silk skeins?

I would save that silk yarn and do something truly special with it to pass down through the family.

I was wondering if they are still useful and how they would be used. Can you spin wool into it?? I just done't know.

Hi again, Michele: I just saw the post. It is under "Welcome Wagon", see "Hi from Tennessee" by gilmerg. She has several postings, but this is the one I just saw.

Hi Michele: There is a retired lady posting and asking for yarn. Check under "Across the Fence." If you can't find the thread, let me know, I'll find it for you.
