well, and the apron too but I finished a Kwik Sew apron that I had cut out 2 years ago!! It is very simple to sew but I have vowed to stop some other crafts and sew again. I have one cut out for katie (8) and another for myself. I am using up some stash so that is a good thing too.

I would post some pictures but I will wait until I sew some really cool aprons!!

Just happy to be sewing something (even if it is aprons and diapers/covers).

Hi Clare,

It is a full apron from Kwik Sew 3247 (this link may take you to see it: http://www.kwiksew.com/Cold_Fusion/catalog/Frame_New.cfm). Very simple to sew. I just made time while Andrew naps. Yes, all my children come to the basement (even the cat comes and lays on my cutting table). It is a light brown woven with some med. white flowers on it. It was meant for my sister (2 years ago) and was already cut out so I took advantage of that also. I have some stash (not all my fave colors or styles) that will work for aprons. I am just going to try and use up what I have rather than be my obsessive self and go buy more. At least that is what I am telling myself :).

Very cool that your son will ask q's while you work. I love that mine are interested in things I do also.

Congratulations on finishing up an apron!! I am so impressed that with such young children you are able to even pull out the machine and sit down in front of it to sew. :-) When my boy was littler, he would think that time at my machine was meant for time to sit on my lap. before I knew it I was moving to the recliner to read him another book. He is 6 now so he understands more about my time at the machine and just comes over to work at the table next to me or ask questions while watching me.

Did you make a full or half apron? what fabric choice and color?

Good for you Tracey, post some pictures when you can, and keep making things when you have the time, its a good feeling when you hold something up and say look what I made.

Tracey - with all those little ones, finding time to sew at all is an amazing thing! Good for you!

Peace
