Posted - Nov 19 2012 : 07:26:42 AM Our dear friends are having a baby and they are calling her Coraline Daisy Grace--I ran across this knit pattern and thought it was perfect for a baby called Daisy!
The colors of the nursery are orange and green and I thought, why not adapt the hat pattern for that, too. Our friend isn't much into pink, and the original hat was a watermelon color (which I made for Violet and loved) but I found the orange and ran with it.

Posted - Nov 30 2012 : 06:21:01 AM Thanks, Julie--I wish I had more time to knit--I'm making a cute little lovey cat for my little one's stocking, and I'd love to make a hat or two before Christmas arrives, but I doubt that's gonna happen.

Posted - Nov 27 2012 : 07:05:57 AM Thanks all! I was really happy with how it turned out, and the colors were really sweet. She loved it and it was the only gift at her shower that got applause :) I am always nervous giving people handmade items, even though I knew it turned out well. You never know, but momma is an art teacher, so I figured, "what the heck!". Yes, Neil Gaiman fans, Alyce :)
