Just wanted to point out that there are lot of interesting sewing and crafting swaps going on over in the Swaps topic - for example there are only two days left to sign up for the September Dotee doll exchange. These little cuties were "invented" by a lady in Australia whose name was Dot, to use up little bits of fabric and "spread some love and happiness around the world" You can't buy them, you can only exchange them or give/receive them as gifts. They are simple, a stuffed body, an embroidered or painted (or other technique) face, no arms, no legs, a beaded tail, and embellishments as you like them.

You can google for Dotee images or search on Flickr for examples.

You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands - You shall be happy and it shall be well with you. -Psalm 128.2

I think Dotee dolls are the most fun to make. I love the idea that something so small can be so creative and delightful. I hope we will get more farmgirls to try making them.
