I completely hand stitched these for a friend of mine. I've never done embroidery before so this was my first attempt.

Wendy, those little booties turned out so sweet! Beautiful embroidery too! Thanks for sharing.

I got this felt from one of the small quilt shops near me, so maybe check some of the local fabric stores?

I need to hunt down some bright blue felt to make a pair with a white horseshoe embroidered on them. My closest friend is having her first baby and she loves the Indianapolis Colts. They won't be so cute sweet looking, but they'll be perfect for them.

Thanks for the pattern reference. We have a baby shower coming up and these would be perfect! I'm wondering how I can get my hands on good (real) wool felt--maybe Etsy.

Anyhoo, love them!

Thanks ladies! I'm a bit sad because I don't have a baby of my own to put them on. Fairly certain, my boys wouldn't let me make them in their size.

I did completely hand sew/stitch everything on them and they are made from a nice wool felt from sheep about 10 miles away. The pattern I used is Simplicity 2867. Very nice to work with! I finished these fairly quickly so I imagine I'll be making many more.

They are beautiful. Where did you get the pattern?

Lovely,
Did you use wool felt?

Wendy, you did a great job on the baby booties. I can see you don't have ten thumbs like I do. Did you do this all by hand? Or, did you use a sewing machine? Cute!
