I am current making a churn dash quilt and I love it.

I brought my first rotary cutter. I have discovered because of this I have some scraps. Does anyone remember the company that made a ruler or measuring device called the scrap master? I believe it was a ruler. Let me know.

P.S. I have been finger pressing. Just takes to get use to.

oh Margie..it is pretty wonderful...they cater to the Amish community and sell alot of old fashioned, simple things that I just love. Their products are usually very well made and built to last. I have loved anything I have bought from them.
They have a website at www.Lehmans.com I just love having a catalog too.
We had a rainy day today too!

I found something new I must be the owner of!! i got a new Lehmans catalog in the mail and they have exactly the quilting frame I want for hand quilting. I had one years ago and miss it so..this one is perfect, Amish made and looks alot like the one I used to have 25 years ago! It is about $200 so I will be saving up!! Have fun at fabric haven Cindi!! I have been making myself use fabric from stash for the last couple quilts but I NEED to go fabric shopping soon. I have been getting things organized some so I can see which colors I don't have much of. I am heavy on Green, Red and browns and really low on blues.

Churn dash and hole in the barn door are some the best patterns to do first. I'm off to "fabic haven" (one of the fabic stores in Flippen ark). After 3 years I taked(whined) my DH into take me to it while he goes to the hardwear store. I've got to get dressed. Yahooooooooo :)

Oh Giovannia..I love the churn dash pattern..how fun!! I have been working on one for my oldest daughter. The pattern is called "Blossom time". I am using repro '40s fabrics in lighter colors (not really really bright like some are) and I am loving it. Her birthday is next week..so I need to rush.
Isn't quilting fun?

If you get scraps you don't want or anyone else for that matter I use scrapes as small as 1 inch square in my quilts I can always use little scrapes that most people through away in my minutures
