I just thought we could post all the photos here of everyones work sort of an apron fashion show honoring mary jane and all the people that help with all those apron patterns.

Your aprons are sweet, Liz. You have great taste in fabric!

I may be making the make-do apron soon- I found a clearance sale on Oxford shirts like my husband wears for work for 4.95 per shirt - but he wasn't around to confirm the size... So I went to his closet and looked at existing shirts and ordered a few that size and a few a size bigger (as they were out of stock of the same size in the nice striped shirt- and anyway I think some of his shirts are too tight) and a few with longer sleeves- hopefully some will fit him and I will try out the make-do apron with the rest!

I just finished my mom's apron last night and it turned out great. It's the same pattern as the one I made for my niece. I found the perfect material for her, it's got these great farm pictures on it and it's so beautiful.

I just got that issue about the time I cleaned out my boys closet. I am going to make 2 of the shirt aprons for each of my daughters. Heaven only know when I will get them done, but I'll post them when I do.

I'm hoping to get one of the ones from the magazine done tomorrow. I haven't decided which one yet as they all look like fun designs. I posted a link to the one that came with the Budget Mix I ordered from MJF.

Frannie,
Love the holiday apron idea! I display some of my aprons by hanging them on a string with dolly pegs, but had never thought of making 'themed' aprons. Gorgeous!!
Best wishes,

i have so many vintage aprons .. that i just haven't sewn any in ages and ages! i have made tons of 'dolly' aprons though. just about every dolly i've ever made wears an apron.

also, i love to make 'holiday' aprons in doll sizes to hang on a clothesline to string across the fireplace or a window. i make little pockets on these dolly aprons, fill them with 'holiday' candy (valentines, easter, halloween, christmas and 'seasonal') and gift them to little girls when they visit.

Liz,
I'm with you, I'm not a apron wearer, but I think I will have to be come one.
Digging thru my stash I found a tomato print fabric that would make a cute apron. Also I always host Thanksgiving Dinner so maybe a pretty apron for myself would be in line.

Thanks Sunshine!

I guess I'm not sure if this pattern is in the magazine, mine came with my budget mix order. I'm not an apron wearer but I think I may have to become one because I can see myself really getting into sewing all these aprons and having an over abundance of them...lol

Liz, that apron is adorable!!! Is that one in the new issue!?!? I love it! (I swear they are an obsession....I am working on three right now and I haven't even gotten the issue that Nancy Jo sent me yet!! EGADS! Not to mention the huge collection of aprons I have from all around. Oh goodness.....)

Karen, How beautiful!
Dangit............if only I could sew.

I bought 3 vintage apron patterns from eBay, the kind with scalloped edges and pockets and then also the fancy dinner aprons.......SO cute.

XOXO Shelley

Here's mine, I don't have it anymore. I gave it as a gift.
I need to make one for myself now.
This was the pattern that came with the budget mix tote

I'll have to rummage thru my fabric stash!

Still trying to figure out how to save pictures to a website. I tried imagestation.com ,but I could not get it to show up on the email. The post on how to do it said to clink on its link, but it still did not work. Any more references to how to do this would be helpful. I would love to be able to post pictures for everyone to view. I SO enjoy seeing you all in your creations.

The apron fashion show sounds like a wonderful plan. i can't wait to see what you all are making.
