Not sure if this is the right spot but I thought more people would read it here as opposed to the swap spot.
My kids and I are in a yo-yo swap but they made so many. We have extra if any one just wants to trade with me and my girls we would be happy  to trade one for one how ever many you wanted to. We used a cd as our pattern. Post here or email me if you are interested. The girls are trying to get a wide variety of colors for the table cloth they want to make. So the more the merrier.  You can just use scrapes as they would be happy to get lots of colors as opposed to a lot of one color.

we are still sewing on yo-yos from the last batch or I would post a photo. I have been so busy doesn't feel like I am getting any thing done. I know that sounds funny but a little here and there on every thing and nothing gets done just closer to it.

So glad the yo-yos arrived to you. Glad they will be used in a project. I checked out the yo-yo doll tutorial. I love the idea comes from the book i nthe picture.

I am glad you like it if you see mistakes let me know it is in a compatition on the internet at whip-up. As you all know I have typing errors so if you see one let me know here or email me please don't post it on blog as the judges will see that. Thanks for any help with this can you also check if it makes since I keep asking my husband to read it but he is to busy to sit for a few minuets and read it.

In a few days I will add this to my blog and add photos to it. a sort of tutorial I have to do a tutorial for whip -up anyway so i will just use this. It might be easier to understand with photos.

I am the MOM.. The yo yo doll/clown is for me...I have always wanted one, but never knew how or where to buy one...Lady at Church was going to make one for my son....He is 37 married, 2 kids... and still no YO YO dol...I am doing it myself for myself me only....along with Cabin Creeks Doll, Sister Molli Mc, from the Down Home Hollow Bapist Chuch Choir. She is leader......

i wasn't worried Tina every one has busy lives I am no exception I know that htings get pushed back and some things get cancelled I am good either way. I am glad to hear it was just pushed back the girls are very excited by everyones help. CK is in the other room right now making the yo-yo's from the cut circles OregonGal sent. This is jsut a lot of fun. In the end we will have a project that is a true MJF girl table topper because so many other people out sid eour family have contributed to it. I think it is just so neat.

Hi, Sunshine. I am completing 32 yo-yos for you and your girls. They are from leftovers from a rag quilt I am in the process of making for my Secret Sister in church. My daughter helped cut them out and tried making one herself while I worked on the rest. It has been a nice project for this cold and windy afternoon. Maybe it will inspire me to make some more this winter as a take along project. If I get the chance, I will make more to send long next week. these will go out in tomorrow's mail. It is NOT necessary to send me any yo-yos in return. These are a great use of the little leftover fabric I had when I was cutting the squares for the rag quilt. They are a gift to all of you.

thanks so much clare that would be a big help even if they are not sets of 4 they will still work the girls have another project going with yo-yos now where singles or more are welcome. We me and the girls have decided to crochet the odd ones together and see how that looks.

Hi, Sunshine. I would be happy to send off some circles or yo-yos. I ahve often thought of doing them as a take along project. I ahve lots of scraps here and would be glad to put them to use. Not sure if there will be sets of four, but I will try.

Hello Sunshine, I will be sending about 40 yoyo's your way this week - probably on Wed. I'll send them out. They are in groups of 4's, some are made and some are just cut out that your little sunbeams and you will have to stitch up. No need to send any back to me - they are just kind of extra here that I won't be needing. Someday in the future I will be making one of those clown or doll things out of yoyo's, but that will be long time from now and these yo's are just kind of cluttering up my free space, so please enjoy! I'll let you know the day I send them, just let me know when they've arrived. I thought the plastic over the yoyo's on the table was a good idea - glad you got it figured out where you can use the table and see the yoyo's too. What wonderful memories you are making for your little girls - I think that's applausible (is that a word?) - how about, commendable. You will not regret it and they will remember it always. |
