This is one of the first engravings I did a few months ago, I think it turned out ok considering the engraver I was using and lack of skills.
This is one I just finished to go on my healing altar. It is the Reiki symbol I use for distance healing. I engraved it on a mirror candle holder and painted over the engraving with gold leaf. I did the other Reiki symbols that I use sometimes as well, so when I am sending out healing energy I light a while candle, place it on the mirror and do my thing. I used to draw it on a piece of parchment but I think this is much prettier. I still have a long way to go with my skills but I am really enjoying it. Thanks ladies! Phyllis, I don't know what pointers I can help you with on the engraving, but I found two awesome books that helped me ALOT: Engraving Glass by Boyd Graham and Engraving & Decorating Glass by Barbara Norman--I got them on Amazon for a penny +3.99 shipping. They're older books 70's/80's with b&w photos but the info is really good.

Thanks. In my mind, the Farmgirl one I want to do looks so awesome--it'll probably be quite a while before I get the skills to make it so! I think the Reiki one is my favorite so far though.
