Posted - Mar 05 2012 : 09:21:46 AM That you hadn't learned all the things you do like sewing , quilting . knitting, crocheting , tatting, jewerly making .etc ? I do all of them and hand embroidery some times, they can get one into a lot of trouble with their other half . lol I do love them all but having so many things one loves. it gets out of hand and expensive. lol I brought a lap top hoop from barnett's laptop hoops.com a while back ; it is 16-1/2 round it can fit on this lazy susan I brought with it and it tilts and spins. well, last week I ordered a floor stand to go with it ; you put the lap hoop on the top and it also tilts and spins. I haven't gotten it yet. Harry a sures me that I will love it . I told him I may have to come and help him make frames as it might get me into trouble luckily it was my birthday money Harry told me not to get into trouble . lol I am working on a appliqued butterfly quilt. I can't wait till my floor stand comes. I love to hand quilt. hugs sheila

Posted - Mar 07 2012 : 08:59:18 AM I am so glad I am learning to do all these things.. finally something i can do for ME! My husband however wishes I hadnt..especially when we are near the fabric section at Walmart! It is almost liek an addicition.. I see this and that and think "Oh i could so do something with that! I have to have it." My small craft/sewing/tanning bed storing/canning jar overflow room is beginning to close in around me but I am totally happy when I'm sitting in the middle of it all! ((hugs))

DH tries to get me to love his Kindle and I can't get into it. My favorite coffee mug is from Monticello, I believe, with the Thomas Jefferson quote, "I cannot live without books."

Posted - Mar 05 2012 : 5:09:12 PM Shiela, I dream of learning how to quilt!!!!! I wish I could, but I have ten thumbs. Sure wish you lived close by, I bet you could teach me. Different people keep telling me it is easy. Not for me. I have tried recently, I won't even show anyone what that quilt square came out looking like. Just too embarrassing. Any who... I do wish I could quilt. Marly

Posted - Mar 05 2012 : 11:22:36 AM I know my fits and starts and creative urges cause my husband to step back sometimes. Especially when it starts looking expensive. But I also know he is tremendously proud of all I can do. He brags on my cooking all the time. Very affirming!
