Hi! I'm wanting to crochet a large blanket for my daughter. Wondering How many chain stitches I need? How many skeins of yarn is needed?

I have to agree with Shelly, but if you are going it on your own, it will depend what stitches you are planning to use, your size hook, and your yarn. It will also depend on how big is your definition of big. I posted a scarf pattern on my blog that's roughly 60" long. You could use that as a base, then just work it up to however big you want to make it. There are lots of other free patterns at allfreecrochet.com, and other places on the internet, too.
I had a mom who used to watch me crochet when my kidlets were small and in Tae Kwon Do. She made a bed size blanket out of single crochet. No kidding! She used just a J hook and regular worsted weight yarn, and then just made a chain about the width of her son's bed.
Your best bet, though, will be a pattern. Even if you don't make it the same size, it will give you some good guidelines to get yourself started.

Thats a hard question to answer. Are you not going to use a pattern? I would strongly suggests you use a pattern. I could email you a few easy large blanket patterns if your interested.
