My granddaughters saw a squarish hat at one of those stores that just drive me crazy with the horribly too awful loud music. I will not buy anything from them so I said I would try to make one like it. So I have no pattern and thought I would just start with maybe 50 and go so far then start decreasing? I will probably just crochet 2 panels then stitch them together. Does that sound like it will work? If anyone has a simple pattern to share, I would appreciate it. I did google it and didn't see anything.

Marly, it's just one of those funky hats kids wear that are square and have tassels on the top corners. I was looking for a pattern but never saw one so just figured I could do it like I was going to. I just started it with 50 but I think it's going to be too big. So I will start over with 40.

Kris: Is there any place to look online to see what this hat may look like? I crochet round hats, but I don't use any kind of pattern. Good luck.
